Urbex Images - Flickr Friday Favorites

It's time for another Flickr Friday Favorites! Below you'll find some of my favorite photographs that members of the Urbex Images Flickr group have added to the group photo pool since the last Flickr Friday.

This is, of course, a very small sampling of the many great images found in the group pool. There are a bunch of talented photographers over there and I encourage you to check them out yourself. I also encourage you to check out each photographer featured below.

As always I asked for and received permission to use these images here. The copyrights belong to the photographers.

I like the composition--it's a well-balanced image. Great use of a narrow depth-of-field.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? by Ron Pinkerton
Color-contrast is what makes this image stand out. Gotta love the star trails.

I like the perspective of this image. There's good light-contrast and subtle color-contrast.

This is an interesting concept image. The lighting and composition are great.

Good use of a narrow depth-of-field and contrast.
Door open-abandoned state hospital-Massachusetts by Joe Bastek
"Door Closed" stenciled on the half-closed-half-missing door is what makes this image. The hallway beyond provides some negative space.

Good lighting and good use of repeated shapes.
Nouvelles du passe by Seb alessandroni
The dark line from bottom-left leads the viewer to the old newspaper, which is the subject of this image.
